Yola - A son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was shot and 24 soldiers killed during a battle between members of the Boko Haram sect and troops near Michika in Adamawa State, Saharareporters reports.
It was gathered that Lt.-Col Adeboye Obasanjo led a platoon of the army that took on the insurgents at Baza near Michika.
Adeboye was injured in the leg by the insurgents during the encounter. He is an army engineer at the 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State.
The Lieutenant Agwu of the 234 battalion, GOC of the 3rd Division, Major Gen JS Zaruwa and Colonel Victor Ebhaleme were all together advancing towards Michika when Boko Haram insurgents unleashed the attack on the soldiers.
